OMG! The Pregnant picture made my mouth drop! I thought Mark would never let himself get GH Gut like that! Dang, that is one distended belly! Tain't nuthin sexy bout dat! Mark had such fantastic symmetry before - or was he just sucking in his stomach?

I think that's the off-season "real" look (when not sucking in). When I've seen Mike Ergas off season at the gym his gut is huge!!! Then onstage he's got a tiny waist.

That gut is the most beautiful thing on his whole body. Some people obviously don't have such a sophisticated taste like myself. It's quite clear what beautiful things in the world are, but yet some people just can't see it. Too bad for them.

Good one Danny! You are so correct. One man's Mona Lisa is another man's finger painting. It makes the world go 'round. Thanks for reminding us that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have two or three comments I'll spread out. First the obvious: Mark has done a great job over the years bringing his physique to this level. Second, he competed within a month of this guest posing, so this is not off season. The third comment is not about bodybuilding so I'll use a new entry.

I was at the Emerald Cup this year and it was the first time I felt unwelcome. The feeling came from the injection of religion into the sport. The program booklet for the evening show had bible verses placed throughout it. The other guest poser, Russ Testo, recreated Jesus bearing the cross. The emcee gave a shout out to anti-gay Rev. Ken Hutcherson, whose Watchmen organization is classified by the Sothern Poverty Law Center as a hate group. And Mark credited Jesus for his success after his posing routine (he's affiliated with the conservative Mars Hill megachurch here in Seattle). So while I appreciate Mark's bodybuilding, I wish he and the promoters would leave their evangelism out of the sport.

David,
I agree with you. I often wonder how Mark Dugdale, as a Christian, answers this one when asked by a kid, "Do you take steroids?" Trust me, I'm not knocking steroids - I take them but I'm not going around preaching either. And I won't lie about it - not even to the police. Why? My doctor prescribes them and everything is legal. Can Dugdale say the same? PERHAPS not (I don't know for certain - maybe his doctor prescribes them too for a condition or something). But I have my doubts.

Still, I've always admired the physique of Mark Dugdale and looked at awe over his accomplishments. Yeah, I wish I were built like him - at least with the gut sucked in! LOL. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I know that Mark is certainly one of the more overtly religious bodybuilders out there, but to "inflict" such religious beliefs upon the people who have BOUGHT tickets for a SPORTING event, that is certainly not cool, and David I'm very disappointed to hear that happened to you the Emerald Cup.

That said, like dallasmsl, I do very much admire Mark's physique accomplishments and will continue to feature him here. The Emerald Cup though, probably not now I heard this.
